Tetra
is the only brand name that's become synonymous
with ornamental fish keeping, thanks to Dr.
Ulrich Baensch. He founded Tetra Werke (Company)
in Melle, Germany 50 years ago, and pioneered
the development of flake fish foods.
Tetra now manufactures hundreds of products
and publishes books for aquarium fish keeping,
reptile and amphibian keeping, and water gardening.

Werke is located in Melle, Germany, and is
the research and manufacturing center for
the Tetra fish foods, nutrition products and
water conditioners that supply a worldwide
market.
Tetra in Blacksburg, VA, is the center for
warehousing and distribution, as well as for
equipment research and development. Electrical
products for aquariums, ponds and reptile
keeping are engineered in Blacksburg for all
global affiliates. |

U.S. maintains a professional sales organization
that is regionally based. Thus each sales
colleague can ensure an ample supply of Tetra
products for their distributors and dealers.
TheTetra sales team and the trade network
enjoy a unique partnership. Sales staff develop

in-store displays, co-op newspaper advertisements
and educational seminars. |

In response to dealers' inquiries, Tetra customarily
supplies product information, point-of-purchase
materials and informational literature at
no cost. The Consumer Support Team responds
to hobbyists' questions by telephone (via
a toll-free customer service number), by mail,
and on the Tetra Web site. |
